I hate the bashing on the ship tags on tumblr. Why dont the fandom just ship canon. That’s what J.K.R. wrote and we should all be happy about it. If you’re a true Potterhead, you’re gonna accept what happened and who ended up with who. It’s also not right to hate a character just because s/he ended up with the person you want to be with someone else.
My ex-bestfriend is a Harry/Hermione shipper and I’m a Romione shipper, we had a ship war and we never talked since.
Okay, JK Rowling did an absolutely phenomenal job writing Harry Potter, there will never ever be a series like that again. I don’t have to ship canon ships to know that, actually that has nothing to do with it in any way shape or form. I don’t have to ship the ‘canon’ ships to appreciate the books, and I’m quite insulted you’re insinuating that I don’t appreciate them. I absolutely adore the books, they are my childhood, while I’m sure they’re a lot of other people’s.
I thought the whole point of books was that your imagination created the story in your mind, and that the book was up for interpretation in your mind. And isn’t everyone’s mind different? We all have out own reasons for shipping things, whether they’re canon or not. You might not understand the reasons why someone ships something, but I hope you can understand that you have no right to tell them what they believe in, what ships they believe in are wrong. After all there is no right and wrong in shipping.
I totally agree with Dwyers ship whoever you want to ship people appreciate things in different ways.
Listen, I don’t really have an opinion on what’s being discussed here, I just want to point out that it looks like Ron’s arm is really long and I find that hilarious.
